Winter has arrived in South West France

Yes, we’re not into December yet, but have finally had around four days starting with frosty mornings. One of the things I like about living here is definite seasons – Spring is fresh and bright, summer is hot and lasts a long time, autumn is full of misty mornings and glorious colours and winter is short but sharp. The weatherman says we may get snow flurries at the weekend, but more common is hard frosts that last all day in the end of December. So cold that you need a hat, gloves and coat just to get firewood in, and a hammer to break the logs apart! The joy is sitting in front of the woodburner in the evenings. https://youtu.be/1Reer1X13UE?si=-vQiHiB1q1D1LIPJ
