Hello from Arran!
I’m aware that it’s been a while since you will have read that we have now left France and were moving. Well, after a LONG journey and an even longer wait for our furniture to arrive (due to a combination of poor weather and ferry delays) we have finally made ourselves at home here in Lochranza on the beautiful Island of Arran. You can see the many videos of our journey so far on my YouTube channel here
After a fortnight of emptying boxes and sorting my office/studio here I am now finally sitting down and able to write and draw again, which is wonderful. I have plans for two new books – one about orchards, which I started making rough notes for whilst in France, and a new cosy crime set (of course) on this island. I’m giving away nothing at all right now, as because the writing forms itself mainly in my disorganised head, all I will say is that I’m going to thoroughly enjoy weaving together little snippets of conversation, character studies (and there are some real characters on the island) and a loose idea that just came to me as a result of watching and listening to some fabulous locals.
So, for now let me share a photo or two of our new home, and I hope to update you with more news much more frequently.
