Watercolour painting

I always think I should be learning something new and following on from my colour pencils I bought some watercolour paper, paint and brushes and started to introduce myself to them. Everyone told me how hard watercolours could be and I have to admit I’ve made a few awful attempts, but this painting of Eilean Donan Castle in the Scottish Highlands has turned out not too bad for my first real painting.
