Moving week has arrived

Gosh, I can’t tell you how stressful the last month has been. Moving house at any time is hard work and a test of nerves, but a big move from one country to another isn’t just a case of arranging a removal firm; it’s also dealing with repatriating animals, closing or amending businesses, selling our French car, and finally (and still ongoing), providing enough evidence to those who need it that we are NOT money launderers!

So – I’d love to tell you that everything is going swimmingly, but I’ve had good days and terrible days, and I don’t think I could face ever having to move house again. Will it all be worth it? I’m sure it will, although saying goodbye to all the lovely friends we have made here in France and saying goodbye to my beautiful house has been a wrench.
